In other words you can differentiate the above, in private and by yourself. I don't think it's necessary or appropriate to publicly distinguish levels of connection. What if two people consider each other two different things? When someone "friends" you and you "acquaintance" them, or less, that's bound to create drama. Let's create it. It could interface with Outlook somehow. People would post their status updates about work and people could comment on it. It would be a fun way to network, share ideas, and avoid the whole "we are coworkers and not friends thing". Did you just write, “google someone”? :)
