1) The Gypsy vs Homemaker dilemma – I get that. I work a successful corporate job (albeit in the higher education sector) but I promote hardcore punk shows in my spare time, my entire backside is covered in a massive tattoo, my earlobes are stretched a half inch and when I go on holiday this summer i’ll dye my hair pink for that time. It is a limbo, but it is also about being in the right place. and the right place will value you for who you are and what you have to offer. Yeah, I wear officey clothes to the office – but they’re still my style of officey clothes. Yeah soemtimes I’m tired when I show up to work at 8:30 cause we had a touring band crash at our house – but my boss loves it cause she knows I’m recharging through doing something I’m passionate about. So take courage, i guess, is the message of this!!

2. Loving your students is the main bit. Jenni, this has done so much for me. I will have 100 new students arrive on Monday. I feel exhausted from my admin responsibilities and I know I have to nail this arrival run. But in the midst of all this, the point is to love them. Thank you!
